Supplier Diversity Manager

About the position

Bausch + Lomb is a leading global eye health company dedicated to protecting and enhancing the gift of sight for millions of people around the world. The Supplier Diversity Manager will play a critical role in developing and implementing a Supplier Diversity program to enhance supplier diversity objectives across Bausch and Lomb's supply base. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier diversity best practices, and a commitment to driving inclusive procurement initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to create a more diverse and competitive supplier base.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier diversity strategy and program, aligning with company goals and values.
  • Identify, evaluate, and engage diverse suppliers in categories such as marketing, IT, professional services, and facilities management.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across departments to identify procurement needs and advocate for diverse supplier inclusion.
  • Provide guidance and support to diverse suppliers, helping them navigate the procurement process and enhance their capabilities.
  • Track and report on supplier diversity metrics, including spend analysis and supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to supplier diversity.
  • Represent the company at industry events and supplier diversity forums to promote the company's commitment to supplier diversity.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in supplier diversity and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or supplier diversity, with a focus on indirect procurement.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems, supplier management software, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to assess supplier capabilities and track metrics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a track record of advocating for diverse supplier initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in working with diverse suppliers and knowledge of the challenges they face.
  • Understanding of supplier diversity certification processes and organizations (e.g., NMSDC, WBENC, NGLCC).
  • Experience with building diversity programs including processes, reporting, objectives, and targets at prior multi-national companies.
  • Experience in the Pharma industry.
